The Carlton Clan

Beth and I have been friends a LONG time! Our love for the Cardinals and our faith brought us together and even though we don't live that close any more I still cherish her friendship and love watching our families grow together.

Scott, Beth and their four little ones, Adeline, Austin, Andrew, and August (Gus Gus) trek up to St. Louis every year for family pictures. I look forward to it and especially the hang out time after. This year we had so much taking the pics and watching all our kids play like there is never any time between seeing each other. Here are a few of my favs from the day.

Baby Lincoln

Baby Lincoln's Mom, Alexis is my cousin so I've known her since she was born! So needless to say I was just a little excited to take Lincoln's newborn pictures once he arrived. Lincoln was one of the BEST baby's I've photographed yet! He slept the entire time and even gave us a smile and a yawn. Now Dad being a huge Blues Fan and Mom loving Harry Potter we had a sneak in a few for them as well. I hope you enjoy Baby Lincoln's pictures as much as I loved taking them.

Fun on the Farm

If you caught my last blog post you know that my family and I recently spent some time up on the farm for my cousin's daughter's birthday. It was such a wonderful little trip. My girls love being on the farm, getting dirty, swimming and playing with all the kiddos.

While I was taking Piper's 5 year pictures I snapped a few of my niece, Hayley and my girls, Lena, Siena and Rayna. We got a few cousin pictures and had fun climbing in the tree with the beautiful sunset behind them.

Piper Rae turns 5!

I love getting to take pictures of my cousin, Summer's daughter, Piper every year for her birthday! This year we packed up our 3 girls, who LOVE playing with Piper, and headed up to the farm. It was a great weekend of giant slip n slides, driving in a Pick Up Truck Power Wheel, and Piper's 'How to Train your Dragon' birthday party. However, due to my mom of three brain I forgot my camera in St. Louis!!! Thankfully a family member and friend, Susan, let me borrow her camera. Now for all you photographers out there I shoot Canon and had to use a Nikon!!!! It's like taking your training wheels off for the first time, I was able to navigate through but not without a few bumps in the road!

Sunsets on the farm are beautiful!!! We took advantage of the dirt roads, beautiful sunset and gorgeous scenery for Piper's 5 year pictures. I had a crew of people moving chairs, old iron headboards, and executing Piper's wardrobe change to pull these off.

Please enjoy blog 1 of 2.... Next up Piper's Cousins!

Miss Amelia

I missed this little one. Due to my third daughter, Rayna, being born this past fall I wasn't able to photograph Amelia and boy did I miss her! She has such an fun personality. We had lots of giggles, a few twirls and a tackle. As I was laying on the ground taking a picture of her, Miss Amelia came running over to tackle me! She was so much fun I could play with her all day!

Maverick and his wing Man!

We just love these two! We have had the fun privilege of photographing Luke and Jack since they were 6 months old. They are full of energy, personality and fun! When Kelly, their mom, pulled out the sunglasses the boys were so excited. They love their sunglasses! We caught Maverick, Luke, giving his wing man, Jack his pair:) Such cute interaction. Their curls popped out since the last time we saw them and we just couldn't get enough.

How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You

"It is not what we have in life, but rather who we have in our life that matters"

Maybe it is the time of year that has us in the mood to be all sappy but this job makes us realize 2 things. 1: How quickly time flies and 2: How important family is. We are fortunate enough to capture the moments that people share with the closest people in their worlds, we get to stop moments in time and capture that sparkle in their eyes. So we ask you all to take a moment and create your memories, stop to take in the moments and cherish this time!!

Fall Family Fun

"I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." -L.M. Montgomery

We love everything about the Fall! The colors, the coolness, the holidays being near! What a great time to capture the essence of each family! We love being able to witness the personalities of families, the love and how they interact and love one another. How blessed are we that we are able to capture these moments in time?

Sweet Annie

Album cover? Nope! Just senior pictures. That's what you get when you mix a beautiful girl and a beautiful sunset.... Ravishing Images that could easily be her first country album cover!!! Annie was so much fun to work with and was up for all our antics. We ended the shoot by asking Annie to walk through some tall, questionable 'wild flowers'. But the result was amazing and totally worth it.

Smiles and Giggles and few Tickles!

We've been capturing the growing Schonhoff Family since Ella was born! How time flies! Cute little Henry is now 4 months old and Ella is 2 and as sweet as can be! It's always a joy to see them and watch this family interact. We had a beautiful evening (with a few misquitoes) and lots of giggles and smiles. We were even able to squeeze in a little 'Itsy Bitsy Spider' between Ella and Mama. LOVE. THEM!
